The new experience and architectural design of Fenix Bodrum, which is part of the Doğuş Group (D.ream)
and combines refined South American cuisine and nightclub concepts under one roof, was designed by Wangan.
Based on the theme of the phoenix bird, which represents rebirth in mythology, the project manages to reflect the
mystical and authentic atmosphere of South American and Amazonian culture throughout the atmosphere of the
space, creating abstract references to Fenix's iconic design elements.
The Corinthian columns, one of Fenix's iconic design elements, were taken to the next level and transformed into a semi-permeable mass of arches surrounding the space. These arches, which define the entertainment center of the space, also animate volumes such as the beverage bar, sushi bar, and entry corridor with their wall surfaces. The iconic semicircular mirror behind the bar, which follows the created shape of the arches, and the brickwork around it are subtle references to Fenix's iconic design elements. The bird figures between the bricks, placed surprisingly on the right and left side of the bar, represent the freshness of the summer months and the identity of the brand.
The mystical corridor with bird figures and birdsong in the background located at the entrance of the venue evokes a bird's nest inspired by the mythological legend of Phoenix, preparing guests for the main volume with serenity and mystery. The staircase in the main room surrounded by arches and decorated with botanical elements has a functional design that can be transformed into cedars and flower pots.
The colorful patterns, dense textures, and binding of the cushions and fabrics used in the places where these elements - made of terracotta concrete - become cedars combine the elegant and original design of the restaurant with South American and Amazonian melodies. Bird's nest totems with bird figurines carved with South American patterns, specially designed for the brand, as well as wooden wall coverings and counters are some of the other outstanding elements of the space.
